The Challenge. Nuon is one of the leading energy companies in the Netherlands. In 2011 it has been acquired by the Swedish energy company Vattenfall. It was the start of an internal engagement process for all employees to get ‘on board’ in the migration process and to get know the Vattenfall brand and each other better. VBAT was asked to develop a set of tools to support this process.
The Solution. We developed a simple metaphor, ‘On the road to Vattenfall’, representing the process as a journey from Nuon to Vattenfall. We created a huge print of the roadmap which was used during management brainstorm sessions.
Further on in the process the roadmap was transformed into an interactive exhibition at all Nuon offices, it formed the theme for employee communication and it was used as an ‘animated’ presentation during a Managers Conference. The internal campaign has made a migration process both easier to understand and entertaining.
